That answer will depend on a number of factors. Luckily, Serta’s iSeries Hybrid mattress collection includes a variety of options fit for many different sleepers.
Stomach and Heavyweight Sleepers
The Serta iSeries Hybrid 100 Firm mattress is ideal for stomach sleepers or heavyweight sleepers who need more durable support. This model has an extra-firm feel, which provides phenomenal support and relief from back pain. A word of caution about this bed though: because this mattress is extra firm, I’d really only recommend it to either plus-sized sleepers who don’t want to sink into their mattress, or stomach sleepers who enjoy a very firm mattress. Lightweight sleepers, of any sleep position, may find this mattress to be too stiff or rigid for their liking.
Side Sleepers
That brings us to the Serta iSeries Hybrid 300 Plush mattress–– the name alone speaks to who this mattress is best for. Side sleepers need a softer mattress that allows them to sink into the bed, cushioning their hips and shoulders. If you enjoy a plush feel to your bed, meaning you like to feel enveloped and cradled by your mattress, this is a great pick for you. Heavyweight sleepers as well as stomach sleepers should be wary of the plushness of this mattress; it doesn’t provide these types of sleepers with enough support for a comfortable night’s sleep as they may find themselves sinking too deep into the bed, which can cause aches in the morning.
Universal Fit
Not to be biased, but if I had to pick one from this list, it would be the Serta iSeries Hybrid 500 Cushion Firm mattress. This bed was made to accommodate all sleep positions and the average sleeper, thanks to its firm feel topped with contouring comfort. If you enjoy the feeling of floating on top of your mattress, this is the bed for you. It does classify as a firm mattress, but you wouldn’t know it by the soft layers that rest on top. This is a great choice for back and stomach sleepers who need support, but still want to be cushioned in all the right places.
Back and Combination Sleepers
That brings us to the Serta iSeries Hybrid 1000 Firm mattress, which is a close second for me. It has a medium-firm feel that allows you to sink into the mattress some for extra cushioning, but not as much as sinking as the Hybrid 300 Plush bed. It’s a great in between, in terms of firmness, for the Hybrid 300 Plush and the Hybrid 500 Cushion Firm; if you’re torn between the two, this bed offers a nice middle-of-the-road feel. It’s designed for side sleepers in need of pressure point relief and support, but it’s also a nice choice for lightweight back and combination sleepers.
Best Overall
As far as which one is the best mattress overall, it’s hard to say. All of the mattresses use a gel foam and coil construction, and integrate cooling features in their design. Point blank– the Serta iSeries Hybrid 500 is the most universal thanks to its balanced feel, but all have their own unique qualities that work for a variety of sleep needs.

TL;DR: Summary
To cut to the chase, you should consider a Serta iSeries Hybrid mattress if you enjoy the feel of a hybrid (coils + foam) mattress, if you’re a hot sleeper, or if you sleep with a partner. The Serta iSeries Hybrid collection uses cooling technology in each of its mattress designs and follows a similar construction for each mattress, the main difference between them being the firmness level. Also, thanks to the combination of coils and foams, every mattress in this hybrid collection has great motion isolation, meaning if you sleep with a partner, you can rest undisturbed without your partner’s movements waking you up.
The Serta iSeries hybrid mattresses aren’t for you if you have a preference for traditional memory foam mattresses or conventional innerspring beds. The mattresses in this collection use a combination of materials, so if you’re married to more orthodox mattress designs, this may not be the best choice for you. Also, if you’re trying to cut costs, these mattresses aren’t exactly budget-friendly. The exact prices for each vary by retailer, but they all cost over $1,000. And if you’re dedicated to online shopping, you may be disappointed. This Serta line in particular is only available in-store, but if you’re interested in Serta and want to shop online, they offer their Perfect Sleeper and iComfort lines online.
